William Perry was an All-American at Clemson in 1982, `83, and '84.   He played 10 years in the National Football
League, 8 1/2 years for the Chicago Bears and 1 1/2 years for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is affectionately and popularly known as “The Refrigerator” or “The Fridge” not only for his giant, square-like frame, but also for his bigger than life playing style.

Today, instead of lining up to defend his team's goal line, Perry is lining up to fight Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a nervous system disorder that can progress to complete paralysis, which he was diagnosis with in June 2008.

Perry has been in and out of hospitals since early April with complications from Guillain-Barre Syndrome.  As he recovers, his medical bills are mounting.  The Fridge Fund is seeking donations to help defray those costs.  If you want to help, here are some ways to do so:
